Job Title: Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Finance Manager oversees the chapter’s financial operations and general bookkeeping while providing strategic data insights to support sustainable organizational growth. Reporting directly to the Social Director, this role manages daily financial tasks such as membership dues collections, expense management for events, and annual budget development. Additionally, the Finance Manager bridges finance and operations by producing key metrics and reports for both Management and the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Bookkeeping

  • Oversee all chapter financial operations and maintain accurate general bookkeeping records.

  • Manage membership revenues, including tracking dues, payment processing, and resolving late payments.

  • Direct expense management and cost-tracking workflows for all large-scale events and daily activities.

  • Lead annual budget development in close collaboration with the Social Director and management team.

Financial & Operational Reporting

  • Produce routine financial reports tracking cash flow, profit and loss, and budget variances.

  • Compile operational performance reports highlighting membership statistics and growth trends.

  • Deliver accurate financial summaries to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

Technical Skills & Software Proficiency

  • Accounting Software: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar bookkeeping platforms.

  • Data & Analytics: Expert-level Excel or Google Sheets skills for forecasting and financial modeling.

  • Data & Budgeting: Advanced Excel skills for financial tracking and budget analysis.

  • Administrative Suites: Competency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for report generation.

Education & Experience Requirements

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

Required Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience managing corporate, non-profit, or chapter-level financial operations.

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, specifically handling accounts receivable, payable, and reconciliation.

  • Demonstrated success generating data-driven operational reports (e.g., membership retention trends).

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn financial numbers into clear business recommendations.
